Chocolate Pie

Oh man do I love me some chocolate pie. This richly smooth pie is exquisite in nature. Few men have been able to execute the dance of the chocolate pie properly; Yet it is so simple. This recipe is so great it yields two pies. What could be better than two chocolate pies? "Three chocolate pies?" No dammit, not three chocolate pies. Nothing is better. Let's begin:

This recipe involves heavy whipping cream. As long as it contains the word cream and either heavy or whipping, or both, you will be okay. It took me a while to figure that one out in the supermarket years ago. I probably looked like a psychopath. In a small saucepan combine 1c heavy/whipping cream and 1/2c milk and bring to a slight simmer over medium-low heat. Pour over a large mixing bowl containing 10oz of your favorite dark chocolate. Don't go too dark you daredevil; 65% should be about right. Whisk until combined; Add 2tbl sugar, 1/4tsp salt until combined. Whisk in 2 beaten eggs. Pour into prepared pie crust.

325 deg and some time later you have your heavenly bliss in a motherfucking butter crust. You have the option of sprinkling on 2oz more chocolate 5 min prior to final cook time. Depending on amount of filling the pie can take from 20-35 min. Just jiggle it to figure out when it is done. Check it at 5 min intervals. DO NOT let the top crack or you have just seriously fucked up. Good job.

This fucking rocked. Two thumbs up. I sprinkled oreos on the top and allowed the kids to drool for at least fifteen minutes before I let them have any.

Did you use Wonderbread for the crust?
