Fagioli

This is your dish! They named it after you!

Fagioli is an Italian bean-y side dish that is quite tasty. My local Italian bakery serves this with their sandwiches and I could not help but figure out what the hell is in it and I think I got it pegged. Your secret recipe is out local Italian bakery! The beautiful thing about this dish is that you only have to cook one thing: pearl barley. Do you even know what pearl barley looks like? No. Go to the bulk section of your supermarket and press the assistance button. The bulk isle is the one with all the plastic thingies and no boxes simpleton. Damn. Let's begin.

Get a big, big bowl. Add 1c cooked pearl barley, 1 can of chickpeas, 1 can of kidney beans, 1 can of black beans, 1/2 red onion, 2 stalks of celery with leaves, and a very light drizzle of Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Be sure to use Extra Virigin or you will fuck it all up. All of the these ingredients can be adjusted to your desired level. Get this one right and your lady will be quite impressed at the new side dish to accompany your "World (i.e. Trailer Park) Famous Steak-Ums."
