Now I said I would not stray from the Pacific Northwest again after drinking the Lakefront ESB, but I bought this at the same time so I might as well give it a shot. Avery Brewing is in Boulder, Colorado. While I have never been to Boulder myself, I have only heard good things and this beer is no exception. It is an easy-going, non-intimidating brown ale that gets the job done right. I would highly suggest this beer for any time of the year. It would be refreshing in front of both a hot summer's barbeque and a crackling winter fire. If you like a thick and heavy brown ale, however, this beer is not for you. 4 out of 5. Drink it.
