Caldera Brewing - IPA in a can!

So I only bought this because I was in the middle of playing a shitty round of golf, but Caldera in a can?!? Caldera brewing is the shit and they make some killer brews but in the last year they have started canning their beer which in my humble opinion is totally fucking stupid. When I was bartending the owner came in trying to argue that the can is actually a better way of preserving beer. While that might be true, and I stress might, you are destined to go the way of screw cap wine. It may be better but the general ignoramous public does not recognize this so you are fucked in terms of sales. So fuck you and your dumbass cans Caldera; Too bad your beer is the shit. 4 out of 5. Drink it on tap and not out of a fucking can.

Yea sure, blame it on the camara asshole.

First try spelling "camara" correctly. Second that camera causes all sorts of trouble around these parts.

If you are an avid concert goer, you'll know that bringing beer inside in bottles is not allowed. So canning a good beer is a great idea. Obviously, drink it on tap when possible. But when you have to go portable...

I am not an avid concert goer but the same applies for the golf course. This market, however, is miniscule compared to the general bottle market.

This is one of the best beers I've ever had in a can. It has a nice fruitiness. With lots of hops, but not overpowering. excellent beer. I wish i could get it in my area.

It is quite good for canned beer.

Hey Cooking Asshole:

Fuck you and your stupid blog. Just kidding. People love our canned beer. The IPA won a gold medal in Sweden last year and just took a gold medal at the European Beer Star in Germany last month. Oh yeah, our Pale Ale and Ashland Amber took bronzes as well. Oh yeah we also had to buy two 60 bbl tanks last summer to keep up with the demand for our stupid cans. So sales are great!

Cheers!

Hey Jim!

Ohhh!!! Sweden?!? They are infamous for their knowledge of beer! Just kidding. That is awesome. I wish you guys the best and I am glad you are expanding! Keep up the awesome work.

Nice blog. Most people are too shy to say it like it is Keep up the great fucking work!

Nice Rogue comments, I used to brew for that asshole Jack. Yes asshole! He is trying to take back the Ashland Amber name after abandoning it several years ago and I trademarked it. Don't they make enough beers and slap on any old label? Now he wants Ashland Amber back. Tough shit old man!

We are bottling 22's Feb 5 for the first time.

Lawnmower Lager - Super lite, should be around $2.99 on shelves

Hopportunity Knocks - 6.8% IPA - different from out IPA in a can

Rauch UR Bock - should be one of the most smokey beers on the market. 7.4%

Coming soon in 22's are:

Ginger Beer 4.7%
Old Growth Imperial Stout - 8.8%
Vas Deferens - 8.1% Belgian style strong ale brewed with orange bitters and blood orange zest.

Also we will be launching Hibiscus Ginger Beer in cans this summer.

Cheers

Jim,

About damn time! I can't wait for your shit to come out in 22oz bottles. How far will you be distributing? Will you go nationwide (if you don't already)?

They are mongers that want everything for themselves and nothing for anyone else. Do you know Kevin who left Rogue and started Amnesia in Portland (now Chris works there too)? He said he left on good terms, worked his ass off for Rogue, and not once has Jack had the common courtesy to pay a visit to his new brewery/pub (that was a few years ago when he said that) and his pub/brewery is about 5min from Jack's office. Just no real consideration for people unless they are of exploitative value to him.

Congrats again and I will definitely be looking for your bottles in the stores!
