Rogue Brewing - YSB

No that is not a typo jerkoff, YSB stands for Younger's Special Bitter. "What the hell is a younger?" A better question would be who is Younger, dumbass. Bill Younger, along with his brother Don, founded the Horse Brass Pub in Portland in 1976. This beer is named after Bill as he is no longer with us. I have had the pleasure of pouring Don quite a few YSBs off tap during my brief tenure as a bartender and he is quite the eccentric fellow and always a great customer. The Horse Brass is arguably the best pub in Oregon and one of the best in the country. If you are ever in Portland you must visit. It is a dimly lit old English pub with an absurd amount of rotating taps of both local microbrews and imports. The lingering voices of rowdy steel tip dart players hangs as thick as the cigar smoke. Well not anymore because Oregon passed a smoking ban but you get the picture. Anyway this post was supposed to be about a beer. YSB rules. 4 out of 5. Drink it.
