The St. Bernardus Abt 12 is a perfect example of an abbey style Belgian. Pour out your crappy abbey from the New Belgium Brewing Company because there is a new monk in town. More and more Belgians are being imported nowadays so there is no need to buy crappy American versions. At 10% this beer will put you on your ass but you can barely even tell from sipping on it. This is a tell tale sign of a quality beer. If you are a person who prefers light beer, sissy, you might want to pass on this hefty brew. But who can resist the happy monk on the label? Not me. 4 out of 5. Drink it.
