Rogue Ales - Chocolate Stout

So you all know how I feel about Rogue, but despite my disgust I cannot deny the high caliber of their beers and this brew is no exception. The Rogue Chocolate Stout is the best fucking one I have ever had. Most chocolate beers taste like shit but this one is incredible. If you see it, buy it. They told us it was made with real chocolate but that reeks of bullshit to me. Either way, this brew will take you to heaven and back in a single sip. The fine lady on the silk screened label is Sebbie Buhler. She does some shit for Rogue on the East Coast (I don't really recall as I was wasted when we kicked it) but we spent a raging weekend together during the Oregon Brewers Festival and she is a killer chick to rock it with and she definitely knows her shit. So putting aside my grudge against Rogue I give this beer a 5 out of 5. Drink it.

Editor's note: I also used this beer for the mustard porter sauce on a nice lamb steak. I would highly recommend it.

Chocolate beer is like lemons in your wheat ale, you're slipping brutha, getting weak in your old age, keep drinkin Belgian like a king to keep your status as a hero on some real superhero shit, now go wrap something in bacon so I can chin drool like normal while envying your taste in beer.

way to post twice, #2 loser. But that's okay, I saw them both. Unfortunately, you are correct. This post was for chicks not dudes. Tomorrow I will drink a fine belgian while wrapping something in bacon in your honor.

P.S. My woman is #1

Can you get St. Amboise Apricot Wheat Ale out west? Might be another good chick beer review. http://www.mcauslan.com/en/ourbeers/index.htm

Chocolate and lamb.
My mouth is watering. I cannot wait to go home to Wales and hopefully have some home cooking.

The chocolate and lamb combo was delicious.

I love just about all of their beers... can't remember which it was but they've got a very nutty one... I'll look it up and get back to you.

I admit I would drown a lamb in that shit pronto, does make for a good cooking beer.

In Florida we can get this beer at the ABC store. It's very nice to have on a Sunday afternoon accompanying a nice selection of cheese and a warm loaf of french bread dipped in olive oil and spices..Yum.. anyway, Florida Central doesn't offer a nice selection of micro's or any variety like the northern states. People here drink Bud......

Very good suggestions BB. Rogue Creamery (different owners) actually make a marbled Rogue chocolate stout cheddar that is off the hook.

(Rogue is the name of a river in Oregon)

Actually, there is chocolate in the beer. Hubby and I do home brewing, and we have a chocolate stout ale that is made with Dutch process cocoa. It's so delightfully dense and dark...
