Cranberry Cornmeal Cookies

I should not be cooking in my kitchen today, for reasons you don't need to know about, but fuck it. I feel like cooking. Last night at around nine, my woman started begging me to make cookies but my response was not favorable. Out of sheer pity I decided to make some for her today (between levels in Super Mario 3) so when she got home from work the scent of fresh cookies would still be lingering throughout the house. I still have a crapload of dried cranberries I need to use so I figured these little treats would be just what the doctor ordered. Let's begin:
In a large bowl mix 1c flour, 1c cornmeal, 2tsp baking powder, and 1/2tsp salt. In a larger bowl, cream 2 sticks of butter with 3/4c sugar. Add one egg and 1tsp vanilla. Mix the dry into the wet and stir in 1 1/2c dried cranberries.
17 min at 350 deg and you have yourself some killer cranberry cornmeal cookies. Eat it.

those actually look good. I might make them but I have cherries not cranberries as I do not like cranberries. (my kids love them dried)

It gets even weirder when you add the cranberries.

COULD YOU USE FRESH/FROZEN WHOLE CRANBERRIES OR WOULD THAT MUCK UP THE WORKS TOO MUCH?

no need to shout Rockman!

I WOULD ONLY SUGGEST USING DRIED CRANBERRIES!!!

Asshole...
Dang that's funny! Thanks for letting me use it in a perfectly respectable way! Are these cookies crispy? A friend gave me ONE cookie from a jarred mix she'd received as a gift where you add your own eggs and butter...but she only gave me ONE cookie. Rude! I craved those cookies for weeks. I'm hoping this recipe will do the trick!

Soft, not crispy

Dear Asshole...
that still cracks me up! Thanks yet again. I made these cookies...they were good, but I'm looking for flat and crispy...less cake-y...can I add or omit something to achieve this? Actually, her cookies looked a lot like a puddle of dried vomit, but dang, that was a good cookie!

Try getting rid of the baking powder. That might do it but I make no promises!
