Asparagus, Potato, and Red Onion Pizza

Today is the day I will divulge my red pizza sauce which is chock full of awesomeness. It may seem simple but it fucking works magic and you would never even believe you made it on your own (especially you). But I promise it is simple enough that even your inbred cousin that wears the helmet could put this sauce together. Let's begin:
Make your dough and let rise. To make your red sauce take a 6oz can of tomato paste and dump it in a bowl. Fill the empty can with hot water and pour it in the bowl. Add a couple hefty shakes of Parmesan, 2 minced cloves of garlic, a little honey (once again I just use one packet from Popeyes), basil, oregano, cayenne, freshly cracked pepper, and stir that bitch up. That's it. For your toppings, roast the asparagus (tossed with olive oil and S&P) in a 400 deg oven for 7 min. Roast your diced potatoes (tossed with olive oil and S&P) for ~20 min and stir them around every 5-7 min so they cook evenly and don't stick to the pan. I took this picture before I added the final layer of mozzarella. Do I need to explain how to layer a fucking pizza or do you think you have that under control?
Be sure to dust your pizza stone with cornmeal before you put the crust down. Bake on the bottom rack for 13 min at 500 deg. After you begin to master pizzas you will become extremely discriminating as to which places you order pizza from (let's be realistic, we all do it!). Currently there is only one place I can really enjoy because my pizzas are just that fucking awesome. Too bad you still get the $5 "Hot-n-Ready" from Little Caesars, loser.

Now that sounds great, didn't when I first read it, but certainly a different combo of ingredients. I posted about it on Fizz: http://thingsthatfizz.blogspot.com/2010/01/i-know-i-know-more-pizza.html and linked here. Now it's 2am and I am sorely tempted to head off to the kitchen, however, I'll resist.

Thanks AV! Good to see you again! I don't know why but I just realized you disappeared from my reader...you are back there now!

It would make the sauce rather special.

You should bring it over to my house next time, I'll fire up the Wood fired oven and we can bake it there.
Looks great, I'm always looking for new pizza recipes.
