Chocolate Chip Cookies II

So I returned home last night to a woman that really wanted some fucking cookies. I had nothing better to do so I obliged. If you remember my amazing chocolate chip cookie recipe, you are hardcore (and a little scary). It was one of the first posts I ever did and that is because they are super fucking awesome. I was missing a few things so I switched it around a little and, of course, they turned out to be spectacular. Let's begin:
"Those look incredible! How do you get them to be so perfectly shaped like that? Mine always end up flat and taste like cardboard." Why does that not surprise me? I think it has to do with two things: the amount of baking powder/soda I put in the dough, and that I roll the dough into balls. If you do these two things and still fuck up, you are a lost cause. So my original recipe calls for 2 1/2c oats. I had no oats. Rather than sub 2 1/2c of flour, like a total fuckjob, I used my incredibly massive brain and realized I only needed one extra cup of flour. I also used pecans instead of walnuts. Other than that they are basically the same kick ass cookies. Eat it.

Cookies with oats in 'em are not called chocolate chip cookies. They're called "oatmeal" chocolate cookies. Gah.

I prefer pecans over walnuts, anyway. If you wanna ramp up the chocolate-ness, try adding some Ghirardelli ground chocolate to the dough. It's extra delightful. Too bad I can't make them very often....my MD would get really pissed off.

I like those butter sandwich cookies with the chocolate in the middle. I remove the filling from like five of them and then make a super-cookie. SO good!

by ground chocolate do you mean cocoa powder?

Damn right.

Well, actually, the Ghirardelli stuff is ground dark chocolate and not cocoa powder, but cocoa powder will work, too! It's all good...
