Upright Brewing - Five

I happened to discover Upright Brewing the other day via the interwebs and they seemed right up my alley. It appears that most of their beers are in the Belgian tradition and they are located right across the Broadway Bridge in NW Portland. Their tasting room is only open on Saturday and Sunday from 1-6pm (cash and check only) but they state that their beer can be found at most specialty bottle shops and on tap at most bars. Bull-fucking-shit. I tore my area of town apart trying to find a single 750ml bottle to no avail and I have never seen this shit on tap anywhere. This beer is harder to find than a disease free hooker that is over the age of 18. As I found out, however, both are just as sweet when obtained. I found their full line at John's Market and took home "Five." Five is a farmhouse style that is pretty "hopped" up. I have to say this is the best fucking Belgian I have had that is not imported and it is even up there amongst the best imports. I think I have a new favorite brewery. Amazing, just amazing. 5 out of 5. Drink it.

you can find bottles at all of the Whole Foods and a lot of the New Seasons. Plus Belmont Station, Johns Market, The Beermongers, Beaumont Market, Saraveza, the Hop and Vine and both Cork locations.
Though many dont carry all of the beers. Belmont Station, Hop and Vine I think carry all the different bottles.

Its on tap relatively often at Belmont Station, The Green Dragon, Bailey's Taproom, Dove Vi Vi, EAT Oyster Bar, Pok Pok, Russell St. BBQ and probably many other places I dont know of

Holy Shit!

Yeah to be honest I only checked the New Seasons by me (Arbor Lodge) and I was going to try Saraveza but they are closed on Tuesday and I figured they would only have "Four" or some bullshit. Basically I was just lazy and figured it would necessitate a drive to John's Market. They had them all plus two of the seasonals.

Do you know of any places that have "Five" or "Seven" on tap currently?

Thanks for the info!

No I am not sure where Five is on tap now. Pok Pok has the Seven on pretty often. It is super hard to keep track of because most places are putting them on the rotating tap and not a continuous tap. You are right that most places are carrying the Four bottles and a seasonal or two like the Flora Rustica. People really should start requesting the Five bottles from the stores. I dont think they quite know what to make of em.

So this is the famous beer that you became Magnum PI to find. You and Higgins drive your Ferrari over to John's?

The beer sounds great!

And wow, Samuri Artist, quite impressive with your knowledge.
